“We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand, and melting like a snowflake.” ~Marie Beyon Ray
August gets me…
August is a harsh reminder of how quickly life moves. The last month of Summer. School shopping. The end of Summer vacations. Season ski passes go on sale! I know I should be enjoying the fullness of Summer. We still have plenty left. But I am clinging. I love Summer. So. Much.
So like everything else that I need to learn, I preach it and teach it. I do so in hopes that my words will land over here, in my head and my heart. And if you, like me are clinging to Summer, I hope you’ll join me as I embrace today in all of its 100-degree glory. Sit here with me in the sun and feel what it is to really live and love in this moment. What will you do while the sun is still high in the sky?
What if we could just cherish what’s right in front of us, right here, right now…
If you love someone, show it…right now.
If you have someone to forgive, forgive them now.
If you have childhood memories worth savoring and childhood friends worth calling, call them now.
If your Mother, Father, Sister or Brother are still living, start a fresh relationship with them now.
If someone you love passed on before you could tell them what you wanted to tell them…tell them now.
If there are children in your life, give them the positive experiences you missed as a child…do it now.
If a dream is calling you to great heights…follow it now.
If your health and wellness has been on the back burner, waiting for someday…put it up front now.
If you have talents, gifts, abilities or energies to give…give them now.
If there is a cause worth standing for, or a battle worth fighting…fight it now.
If you can help make someone else’s dream come true…help it come true now.
If there is some small kindness you can show to the people around you…show it now.
We are not guaranteed a tomorrow. Live it Now.
